Growing Pains - Prenatal Education
The ''Growing Pains'' Childbirth Education Program is a series of FREE prenatal education classes for expecting moms and dads. The classes are conducted by registered nurses and other trained professionals and offered to you at no charge by the Partnership for Children of Wayne County.
Increasing knowledge is one way to decrease fear during childbirth. Medical research has shown that fear can affect labor by decreasing blood levels of oxytocin.
There are two Prenatal Education Programs for expecting teens (high school based) and childbirth education classes.
To register for classes, contact the Partnership of Children of Wayne County at (919) 735-3371, ext 239 or 223.
