Wayne County Public Schools and the NC Department of Labor have partnered to offer an Apprenticeship Program to give high school juniors and seniors the foundational tools to prepare them for a career after graduation. Apprenticeship programs are available in the following areas: Agriculture, Business & Information Technology, Family & Consumer Science, Health Occupations, Marketing, and Trade & Industrial.
Students in the program can work in a trade of your choice to gain experience as well as earn certification or credentials in your chosen field.
Eligibility criteria include that you be at least 16 years old and in the 11th or 12th grade, GPA of 2.0, good attendance record, social security number, and obtain a work permit. An apprenticehip packet, including application, must be completed
